Konstantin Photography has the distinct privilege of being a part of Chelsea and Chad’s engagement – we shot a series of photos of this breathtaking couple at Vanier Park and the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre. Most recently, we captured shots of Chelsea and Chad’s big day.
The couple chose to have their wedding at the stunning Hazelmere Golf & Tennis Club in Surrey. Welcomed by the lush grounds and charming facilities offered by Hazelmere, the wedding party arrived ready for the day. The bridal party was dressed to the nines, with the bridesmaids adorned in rich blue dresses and the groomsmen stylishly dressed in tuxedos.
Our team has the pleasure of photographing the bride, groom, their bridal party, and family members along the grounds of Hazelmere. Wrapped in warm sunshine and tranquil surroundings, it seemed that everyone had a genuinely amazing experience laughing, reminiscing, and enjoying the day. We took full advantage of the golf carts to produce some unforgettable images of the guys having a blast, and we also captured the ladies having fun. It was a day of splendour in which everyone made memories that will not soon be forgotten!
Chelsea and Chad’s love for one another has been strongly apparent since the day we met them, and they have already forged a bond that can’t be broken. We wish them the very best as they begin their lives in unity!
1) Tell us how you first met? Who what when where why?
We have gone to school together since pre-school at Happy Life in Langley. We started dating in grade 10 and have been together ever since.
2) When did you know he/she was the one? Was there something he/she did?, etc.
Chad: I have known Chelsea was the one for quite some time. There really isn’t any one thing she did but everything. We’ve always made each other smile and laugh and we’d both do absolutely anything for each other, we are best friends and that’s the kind of person I want to spend the rest of my life with.
Chelsea: Chad has always been there for me through hard time
3) Tell us about the proposal.
The proposal was in Las Vegas at the top of the Eifel Tower replica they have at the Paris hotel. When we booked Vegas it wasn’t the plan to get engaged there but rather just a holiday. About 2 months before I had decided that’s where I’d like to propose. We picked out the ring together about a month before and I lied about it not being ready for about 2 months after the purchase when in reality it had been rushed to be ready a couple days before we left. I hid the ring in my wallet when we left for Vegas. Chelsea had no idea and I was extremely nervous even though I knew the answer to the question. I asked somebody on the viewing platform to take a picture and behind Chelsea’s back for the first picture I held the ring. I then asked if he could take one more picture and when he did I got down on a knee and asked her to marry me and she said yes!
4) Tell us the one thing you love most about each other.
Chad: Her personality. She is the most caring, thoughtful, understanding and funny person I’ve ever met.
Chelsea: His sense of humor. He’s always smiling and making me laugh and I have always loved that about him.
5) If you feel comfortable, share with us something silly or quirky the other person does.
Chad: Chelsea had never seen Mary Poppins, had breakfast for dinner or put whipped cream on her Jell-O when I’d met her.
Chelsea: Chad loves to use super cheesy pickup lines on me. He tries to catch me off guard with something really silly or stupid and laughs when I fall for it.
6) Besides getting married –‐ what’s the one thing you are looking forward to on your wedding day?
Having all of our friends and family there for one big celebration. No matter what’s going on in life weddings are always a great time and we are looking forward to having everybody there smiling and happy together.
7) What’s your favourite trend for weddings right now?
I’m not so sure we have one.
8) What inspired your décor or theme?
My mom. We aren’t the most creative
9) What’s one thing you wish you would have known earlier in regards to planning?
How much everything costs. We were prepared for them to be expensive but it’s just amazing how much all the costs add up and all the little things you don’t even expect to come up just pile on to that.
